Omg, yesterday I was at the Red Door Shelter and I got a chance to share the movie, “The Secret”, with a group of teens that are currently living in the shelter with their families.
Watching The Secret again and sharing it with these phenomenal, resilient teens was so amazing. They’re at such a precious stage in their lives, where they can really create themselves powerfully in the world; seeing themselves as unstopppable.
With support they are learning how to condition their minds, creating a strong mindset, and in learning to commitment to their goals, they really can have anything!
Today, I feel like they kind of got it, they got a piece of their puzzle, a really valuable piece!
It’s funny, I went there to share my knowledge with a commitment to make a difference. In my giving I recieved so much more from these teens. They touched my heart, and reminded me of what I’m creating for my life. Today, I’m reminded of how grateful I am for what I do have and for all of the amazing people I have in my life.
Now I understand Gandhi’s insight:
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”
It’s the season to give, give what you have…time… money… knowledge… or all of the above. Give whatever you can, where ever you can. Giving is the one feeling you can’t buy and it’s the best feeling in the world! Giving comes from the same place you feel Love with a twist!
I made it easy and teamed up with charity; Scribble Me Silly. I totally scored and I gained a friend for life! Blessing all over!
Make it easy and make it fun!
Happy Holidays friends!
I’m doing the work too! xo
